Towns and cities in the Province of Cebu will showcase their attractions and sell local products and travel packages during the “Cebu Journeys” travel fair, which is in line with the 449th Founding Anniversary celebration of Cebu.
The travel fair will take place on August 28-30, 2018 at the Capitol Social Hall and Dome.
Twenty booths made from native materials would be set up, with the participating Cebu towns and cities showcasing their attractions and selling local products and travel packages.
Visitors will get to discover the attractions and destinations of the participating localities, book tour packages, and earn the chance to win handsome raffle draw prizes.
The “Cebu Journeys” travel fair is highlighted by an immersive exhibit of LED walls showing Cebu destinations and accomplishments in Cebu tourism.
Cebu Provincial Tourism Officer Joselito Costas said the travel fair is a way for the province to articulate its Key Development Agenda, by recognizing the role of local government units and communities in tourism and countryside development and tapping them as part of the celebration.
“It gives more significance to the observance and importance to the towns, whose contribution to the success of Cebu could not be downplayed,” he said.
Among the objectives of the activity is to provide a venue for the people to know more about the destinations and local products and produce of the different towns without the need for them to travel far, thus cultivating awareness on and appreciation of the beauty of Cebu. – BusinessNews.ph
