The Gealon Racing Team (GRT) is gearing up for the Sun Life 5150 Triathlon in Panglao, Bohol, set to commence tomorrow.
Atty. Mark Avila will kick off the event with a 1.5 KM swim in the frosty waters at dawn, followed by Atty. John Fernandez tackling a 40 KM bike course. The race will conclude with Nori Saito completing a 10 KM run.
The team is buoyed by the support of their families, with their wives and children eagerly awaiting their strong finishes.
Dr. Elizabeth Cong Fernandez, wife of Atty. John, expressed her happiness, noting her husband’s top shape for the race and his six months of preparation for the challenging bike course.
Atty. Mark, a seasoned triathlete, remains confident in overcoming the swim course’s punishing waves and cold breeze. GRT Manager Rey Gealon hopes for a safe and smooth race for the professionals, emphasizing their participation for health and well-being.
The GRT will compete alongside experienced triathletes, including celebrities Piolo Pascual, Matteo Guidicelli, and Paul Jake Castillo.
