Southeast Asian proptech leader PropertyGuru Group announced a leadership transition, with Hari V. Krishnan stepping down as CEO after a decade at the helm.
The company also revealed the appointment of a new Board of Directors and named Lewis Ng as the incoming CEO, effective March 2025.
Krishnan, who played a pivotal role in transforming PropertyGuru from a startup into a regional PropTech leader, will remain involved as a Senior Advisor to the Board.
During his tenure, the company achieved significant milestones, including its public listing on the New York Stock Exchange and its acquisition by EQT Private Capital Asia.
He also oversaw the development of new businesses and solutions that catered to the entire consumer journey.
Ng, a seasoned leader with extensive experience in technology and Asian markets, will take over as CEO.
Ng previously held leadership roles at Apple, TripAdvisor, Carousell, and SEEK Asia, where he drove growth and operational excellence.
His prior experience at PropertyGuru from 2014 to 2019 as Managing Director of Singapore and Chief Business Officer positions him well to lead the company’s next phase of innovation and expansion.
Trevor Mather has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mather, known for scaling marketplace businesses, brings experience from his tenure as CEO of Auto Trader and Chairman roles at Baltic Classifieds Group and Trade Me.
Other Board members include Janice Leow, a partner at EQT Private Capital Asia, and Ed Williams, founder and former CEO of Rightmove.
PropertyGuru’s leadership transition signals its commitment to continued growth and innovation as it strengthens its position as Southeast Asia’s leading PropTech platform.
