Six student teams have advanced to the finals of the Davao Hackestate: Hackathon 2025, a competition organized by PropTech Philippines and Filipino Homes to develop technology solutions for the country’s real estate sector.

The final round will take place on Aug. 27 at the Grand Regal Hotel in Davao City, with teams competing for cash prizes and the chance to commercialize their projects.

Finalists include The Huntrix of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao; No Idea? of STI Gensan; Realtech and UM Trojans of the University of Mindanao; Neurobytes of AMA Computer College; and SJPCians of St. John Paul II College of Davao.

Cash awards of 30,000 pesos ($510), 20,000 pesos and 10,000 pesos will be given to the top three teams, while a consolation prize of 3,000 pesos will be awarded.

Organizers said winners will also gain access to mentorship and incubation programs designed to connect them with potential funders.

“We will help them realize their projects and even connect them with potential funders,” PropTech Philippines founder Anthony Gerard Leuterio said. “This is a sustainable activity—we want to help the country find the best software ideas and expose them globally.”

Leuterio, a graduate of San Jose Recoletos with a degree in computer science, said the hackathon forms part of a broader push to support innovation in the Philippines.

“We have access to funds and we want to use our connections and network as the country’s top real estate marketing company to support innovation,” he added.

Future hackathons are expected to expand beyond real estate to tackle wider national challenges.

Judges will include software developers and real estate practitioners to ensure a balance between technical merit and industry relevance, organizers said.
